Seidel Fellowship Description: 

The Seidel Fellowship is a six-month paid fellowship developed to nurture and support the next generation of leaders in the American Theatre. Each fellowship is uniquely designed for the recipient and includes supported, hands-on projects and tasks that are led by the Fellow and mentored by 1st Stage senior staff. While preference is given to applicants with limited or no academic obligations, all are welcome to apply. Fellows will be afforded exposure to artistic leaders in the field, as well as networking opportunities throughout the residency. Fellows will dedicate 20-30 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday, between 9am-6pm, for a 6-month period beginning in Fall 2025 (flexible start date). Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of $1,700. The Fellow’s experiences are not limited to their chosen concentration. 1st Stage leadership will work with the Fellow to provide projects and experiences in a variety of capacities based on their desired experience.

The Fellowship may include but is not limited to:
Accessibility, Acting and Performance, Artistic Direction, Casting, Design, Fundraising, Graphic Design, Learning and Engagement, Literary Management, Marketing, Producing, Production Management, Operations/Front of House Management, and Technical Direction.
